LAHORE: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Ch Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi have said that 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal this time should be celebrated with the pledge to safeguard Khatm-e-Nubawwat (finality of the prophet).

They said that the Holy Prophet lovers, by having foiled the ‘conspiracy’ of N-League to burgle the Khatm-e-Nubawwat (finality of the prophet) oath have proved that for the Pakistani nation there is nothing above than Namoos-e-Risalat (honour of the prophet) and for this, they are always ready to offer every sacrifice including life and property.

In their joint message to the nation on Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the PML leaders have said that Islam is a religion of peace and security. The messenger of Islam was sent to this world as rehmatul aalameen and as such on his birthday today there is a need for vowing deep from our hearts that as true lovers of the prophet we shall try individually and collectively to popularize the message of peace and security of Islam at every level.

They said that rejecting oppression and violence in all their manifestations will also foil the international conspiracy of putting a label of extremism on Islam.
