Peshawar to Islamabad motorway opened for traffic

ISLAMABAD: The M1 motorway from Peshawar to Islamabad has been opened for traffic, but due to heavy traffic, the heavy travelling vehicles (HTV) and public service vehicles (PSV) have been diverted from Tarnol Interchange.

However, the M2, M3 and M4 motorways would remain closed for traffic. Meanwhile, on N5 highway which connects areas including Lawrencepur, Kamra, Taxila, Sohan, T Chowk, Gujar Khan, Sohawa, Jin da Qila, Muridke, Kamoke, Ravi Rayan, Maraka, Mohlanwal, Yakawail, Loharwala and Chichawatni Zarai bypass, would also remained closed for all vehicular traffic.

The Motorway Police had requested the public to avoid unnecessary traveling and also advised to contact helpline 130 in case of any emergency.
