KOHAT: A local journalist Friday sustained serious injuries after a motorcyclist opened fire on him outside his house.
The journalist, namely Syed Aleem Haider, was on his way back to his house in Garri Mandan area after completing his shift at a private TV channel, when two unidentified persons riding a motorcycle shot him in the head outside his house.
The injured journalist was immediately rushed to Kohat Divisional Hospital in critical condition and later shifted to a hospital in Peshawar where his condition was stated to be stable.
The city police reached the crime scene soon after the incident was reported, collected evidence and started investigation after lodging a first information report against unknown assailants.
