LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Senator Sirajul Haq has strongly condemned death sentence awarded to six Bangladesh Jammat-e-Islami leaders by the Bangladesh War Crimes Tribunal on Wednesday.
In a statement, the JI chief called upon the Pakistan government to take up the issue at international level and seek the support of the world community to stop the executions of the JI leaders.
Siraj said that the JI leaders in Bangladesh were being punished only for their loyalty to Pakistan but the government in Islamabad was completely silent on the issue. He stressed that the issue should be raised before the International Court of Justice in the light of the tripartite agreement between Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.
There should be no diplomatic relations with Bangladesh. It is an enemy country
