Two insurgents, FC official killed in search operation in Turbat

TURBAT: Two insurgents have been reported killed during a search operation conducted in Turbat on Tuesday, reports confirmed.

As per reports, a security officer was also martyred during the operation.

The FC personnel conducted a search operation on a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area, reports stated.

When the security personnel reached the site, the insurgents opened fire on the forces. During the ensuing exchange of fire, two insurgents were killed while a security personnel was also martyred. In addition, three other security personnel were wounded during the operation.

A search operation in the adjoining areas is underway to clear the area off any possible militants that may be present in the area.

Meanwhile, on November 17, a suspected terrorist allegedly involved in the recent killing of 15 migrants near Turbat was killed during an intelligence-based operation near the Alandur, Abdur Rehman village in Turbat, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had informed in a statement.

Younis Taukali, one of the eight top commanders of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), was killed in a shootout with the Frontier Corps (FC).

Back on November 15, fifteen bodies,  bearing bullet wounds,  were found in Buleda locale near Turbat tehsil in Balochistan’s Kech district. They were of people from different parts of Punjab, including Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot.

Then, on November 17, five more bodies were found in Turbat,  the same tehsil,  albeit at the distance from the previous spot.
