18 abductees recovered during search operation in Turbat

QUETTA: At least 18 people,  including 16 foreigners being sent illegally to Europe, were recovered late Monday night following an operation in the Radbeen area near Turbat, according to security forces.

According to details, security forces conducted a raid on an intelligence report on a house in Turbat and rescued at least 18 hostages including 16 foreigners.  Of the recovered foreigners, 15 belong to Nigeria, whereas one comes from Yemen, adding the foreigners sought to illegally travel to Europe.

Security forces also arrested two suspected kidnappers who kept these persons hostage in the house and also recovered a cache of weapons from their possession. The suspects were then transported to Turbat for further investigation.

FC Sector Commander Tassawur Sattar and DIG Abdul Razzaq Cheema told the reporters that the abductees were recovered in a door-to-door search operation that was launched to arrest militants two days ago.

Back on November 15, fifteen bodies,  bearing bullet wounds,  were found in Buleda locale near Turbat tehsil in Balochistan’s Kech district. They were of people from different parts of Punjab, including Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot.

Then, on November 17, five more bodies were found in Turbat,  the same tehsil,  albeit at the distance from the previous spot.
