LAHORE: Pakistan Radio employees have filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) regarding non-permanency of jobs.
According to reports, the employees of Pakistan Radio approached LHC against non-permanency of their jobs. The employees stated that they had been serving in Pakistan Radio for 15 years and were still not made permanent.
According to reports, no action had been taken on this matter from within Pakistan Radio and the petition in LHC was an effort by the staff to ensure their job security. The employees also petitioned that junior staff members were being promoted and made permanent which was unfair towards those who were already serving the organisation for a long period of time.
The court has ordered the Pakistan Radio director general to hear the demands of the staff and reach a decision amicably.
Approximately 23 employees filed the petition in LHC. The court also ordered the concerned Pakistan Radio authority to present a comprehensive report for this case within 30 days time period.
