LAHORE: A delegation comprising 250 Hindu pilgrims from India is expected to come to Pakistan through the Wagha border on Sunday, travelling by foot, to attend religious ceremonies in Shadani Darbar Teerath Hayat Pitafi, Mirpur Mathelo (Sindh).

Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Muhammad Siddiqul Farooq, Shrines Additional Secretary Tariq Khan Wazir and other board officials would welcome the Hindu pilgrims at Wagha border.

Foolproof security arrangements have been made for the safe passage of Hindu pilgrims into Pakistan, official sources said on Friday. Under ETPB chairman’s directions, all arrangements including accommodation, transport and security have been completed.

The Hindu pilgrims will also visit other religious places including Sadhu Mandar in Sukkur, Ghotki and Kanpur and perform their rituals.

They would return to their homeland on Nov 30.
