LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said his party will continue to play a role in strengthening democracy as had been done earlier.

Talking to journalists, Nawaz said the CPEC project is going to be completed on fast track. The project will not be allowed to be foiled by anyone at any cost, he claimed.

He said, “Today’s Pakistan is starkly different from that of 2013’s,” adding that terrorism, load shedding and chaos have been eradicated from the country.

The former prime minister claimed that complete peace has been restored in Karachi and Balochistan during the last four years.

He said that PML-N has never done politics of propaganda and lies, adding that they served the masses after coming into power in 2013 general elections and would continue to serve them after 2018 elections.

He added that Allah Almighty would end the difficult time they have been facing very soon.

Nawaz Sharif spent a busy day in the city. The former PM went to the residence of Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif and congratulated him on the wedding of his daughter.
