It seems the government has been knocked out by terrorists. Every new day brings about a new terrorism incident that puts our government, security establishment, and military leadership under the questioning eye of public asking for the truth. If such installations and important military sites are not safe, how can a common man feel safe on the street?
The incident at the PNS Mehran has put the country in an awkward situation. We do not know how they came and how they were successful in attacking a well guarded base. But, it was a saddening sight to see the burnt down wreckage of the two, once new and shinning P3C-Orion aircrafts that were instrumental in lending the Pakistan navy strength against the enemy, through which they had planned to increase their capability to guard its seas and coasts. Blackened with the dark intentions of the terrorists, they lay trampled with each piece hugging the grassy ground portraying and magnified picture of pathetic defencelessness.
This repeated display of exhaustion, however, needs to be redressed and reverted so that the next time round it should be the enemy that receives the colossal and final blow from none other than our very own security forces who were once the sweetest apple of our eyes.
