Rain likely in various parts of country: PMD

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday indicated chances of rain and thunderstorm at a few places in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions, upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. Snowfall over the hills is also expected during the next 24 hours according to the met office. A shallow westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist during next two days.

Foggy conditions are likely to prevail at a few places in southern and central parts of Punjab during morning hours.
