KARACHI: In another interesting development involving differences between a varsity’s students and administration, students of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday sealed shut the university gates, refusing to open till their demands were met.
The difference between the two discordant parties is on the issue of conducting supplementary examinations. Whereas the students demand to be allowed to retake exams which they failed, the university administration insists that the Pakistan Engineering Council’s (PEC) rules do not allow it to do so.
Resultantly, the two clashing parties remained locked on either side of the university premises on Wednesday, as per reports.
