The world organisation, Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI), which controls the canine activities world over, has made Pakistan its full member, said press release of the Kennel Club of Pakistan.
This decision was taken at Federation Cynologique Internationale general assembly meeting held at Liepzig (Germany) on 6-8 November. At this meeting, 70 countries were present and Pakistan’s case was presented by Colonel KM Roy, president of the Kennel Club of Pakistan.
The decision to make Pakistan its member was taken by secret voting. It takes about 10 years to become member of FCI, during which time, the activities of the club are observed and monitored by foreign teams. It is a great honour for Pakistan to be member of this prestigious world organisation. This full membership has given a soft image of Pakistan in international community.
