Iranian delegation meets LCWU management

Lahore College For Women University (LCWU) has a great role in women development in Pakistan, said Iranian Women Literacy Minister Khanum Muhammadi Sakhai after the meeting of Iranian delegation with LCWU’s higher management on Monday. Sakhai said the Iranian government was keen to uplift women in all walks of life and added that one of the top atomic scientists in Iran was a woman. The delegation visited the Iranian Study Centre set up in the LCWU Persian Department with the funding of Iran.
LCWU Vice Chancellor Dr Farhat Saleemi, Registrar Dr Hamala S Khalid and Faleeha Kazmi told the delegation that LCWU was the largest state-run university for women. The meeting observed that both countries could collaborate in numerous academic fields including technology, literature, art and research. A student exchange programme was also discussed.
