Only 45 per cent students pass FBISE supplementary examination

ISLAMABAD: Only 44.95 percent candidates were able to pass the Secondary School Certificate supplementary examination, conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) in September-October 2017.

According to the results announced by the FBISE on November 3, a total of 10,096 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 4,538 were declared successful.

Results were also uploaded on the federal board’s website at: www.fbise.edu.pk

The education board had also sent results to candidates via SMS, provided their mobile phone number was mentioned in the admission form.

The result could also be confirmed through SMS unified code 5050. The candidates would be required to send SMS in the following format to obtain their results: FB<space>[roll number]

In addition, result cards of the candidates were also being dispatched on their home addresses, following the declaration of results. In case a result card was not delivered to any ex/private candidates by November 14, he/she could contact the board’s office for issuance of a duplicate result card, which would be issued free of cost for a period of one month after the announcement of results.

In order to facilitate the candidates, the federal board had extended the facility of submitting online applications for issuance of migration certificate (NOC), rechecking of papers, cancellations of result, verification of result card/certificate, duplicate result card and correction in roll number slips.
