LAHORE: Addressing a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that PML-N is the name of an ideology and that the party had selflessly served people for the last four years. He said that the party was committed to bringing betterment in the lives of underprivileged people.

“We have implemented balanced development strategy from last four years and not only preferred the development of urban areas but also numerous development projects have been initiated in rural areas,” he said.

The chief minister further added that some political opponents have tried to halt the journey of progress by their sit-ins and politics of anarchy but they have not been able to stall the country’s progress, adding that the hinderers of progress had been exposed to public.

“They have tried to create new Pakistan by hollow slogans and claims but their strategies have done nothing other than spreading despair among masses. Surely public will reject their negative politics of blames and chaos,” Sharif said.

Sharif said that the 2018 elections will witness the victory of hard-work, honesty and public service.

Corrupt former rulers who have looted national resources callously in the name of development projects and pushed public toward darkness have to answer for their deeds, he said, adding that undue delays in the initiation of energy projects have made the nation suffer badly.

The CM said that government of PML (N) has introduced the policy of standard, merit and transparency as its development projects have been the hallmark of speed, transparency and quality. “Not even our worst enemies could bring any proof of corruption of a single penny in our development projects,” he said.
