Punjab govt introducing PADL programme

MULTAN: The Punjab government is introducing Punjab Agriculture and Dairy Leadership (PADL) programme to trace farmers with more production of different crops including wheat, cotton, mango and orange.

Punjab Agriculture Inputs Director Muhammad Nasir while chairing a meeting informed that a survey would be launched to trace farmers, who were achieving bumper crops due to their management. He said that the farmers would serve to guide other farmers of the local area. The field assistants of agriculture department will hold a meeting with progressive farmers and note their way of working.  Similarly, their farms would be made a centre of new technologies so that other farmers would avail benefits, he said.  He said that difference of crops production at different farms would be evaluated.

He directed the agriculture field staffers to hold meetings with farmers and informed them about the new plan.

On this occasion, project director Dr Amanullah Malik, agriculture director Rana Munir and agriculture information assistant director Naveed Asmat Kohloon were also present.
