Pak, Sri Lanka teams reach Lahore for final T20I game

LAHORE: The Pakistan and Sri Lanka cricket teams arrived here in the  early hours on Sunday amid strict security measures. The two teams are set to face each other in the third and final match of the Twenty20 International (T20I) series later on Sunday as the nation celebrates the historic moment of the end of eight years of isolation from international cricket.

Both teams made their way to the hotel from Allama Iqbal International Airport, in the presence of security officials and police.

Following pullout of  Upal Tharanga from the fixture, the Sri Lankan side is led by all-rounder Thisara Perera. The team left for Pakistan from Abu Dhabi at 10 PM and landed in Lahore at 2:25 AM.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani side, reached Lahore from  Dubai at 1:50 AM.

Pakistan is already leading the T20I series with 2-0, against Sri Lanka winning the first game by seven wickets and winning a last-ball thriller in the second one.
