KARACHI: Two people were killed in separate road accidents on Friday.
Maviya, 20, of Pakistan Colony was hit by a fast-moving vehicle in Liaquatabad. He suffered severe injuries and died on the spot.
In a separate incident, an unidentified man, 38, was hit by a fast-moving vehicle on Native Jetty Bridge, causing severe head injuries leading to his death.
The bodies of the two deceased were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital and Civil Hospital Karachi respectively for medico-legal formalities.
School van collides with car
In a separate incident, at least two schoolchildren were injured in an accident involving a school van and car near the Governor House on Friday.
Some 20 schoolchildren were aboard the van when the accident occurred. On receiving information, police and rangers rushed to the spot. Thankfully no casualties occurred.
