Pakistan gives $1m for flood affectees of Nepal

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed handed over the cheque of $1 million to Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on October 26 in an expression of solidarity with people and government of Nepal.

The contribution is from the people and government of Pakistan for our Nepalese brothers and sisters who suffered loss of lives and livelihood, said a press release received here.

Nepal is a close friend in our neighbourhood and SAARC member. The financial assistance for the flood affectees of Nepal was in line with our tradition of providing relief assistance to the people of our friendly countries in difficult times, it added. It would further strengthen bilateral relations and the friendship of the people of the two countries.
