Ban on dance parties, gambling dens hailed

Hafizabad Sunni Tehreek President Usman Haider Naqvi has thanked DCO and CPO Gujranwala far banning dance parties, gambling dens and other un-Islamic activities at the shrine of Hazhart Abdur Rehman Noshahi, popularly known as “Bharri Shah Rehman” on the eve of his annual three-day Urs. He was addressing the activists of Sunni Tehreek after laying a floral wreath on the shrine of Hazrat Bharri Shah Rehman at village Bharri Khurd near Hafizabad.
He said un-Islamic activities would not be tolerated at the shrines of the Muslim saints who gave lesson of love, tolerance and brotherhood among the people. FIVE TEACHERS SUSPENDED: Executive District Officer (Education) Sohail Azhar Khan suspended five teachers over their absence from duties the other day. Sohail Azhar, during his visit to government schools, suspended SST Shagufta of Girls Elementary School Dera Manik, PST Aman Ullah and Ghulam Sarwer of Primary School Herdorata, PST Kubra Bibi and Shahida Parveen of Girls Primary School Herdoata. He also expressed his resentment over unhygienic conditions and directed the head teacher to ensure cleanliness.
HAFIZABAD: MPA Asad Ullah Arian has said that provision of basic facilities to the masses is the top priority of the Punjab government and result oriented steps are being taken to upgrade living standard of the people. He was talking to District Coordination Officer Hafizabad, Muhammad Asif at his office on Saturday. Problems of the people of PP-106 were reviewed at the meeting and proposals were discussed to address the grievances of the people of the constituency.
The MPA stressed the need to provide fans for the schools and ensure attendance of doctors in Rural Health Centre Jalalpur Bhattian for providing better health care to the people. The DCO directed the EDOs of health and education to solve the education and health problems faced by the people of the constituency immediately.
