Parliamentary report discloses Rs142m embezzlement in FPSC

ISLAMABAD: A parliamentary body report has disclosed that fiscal irregularities worth Rs 142 million occurred in Federal Public Services Commission (FPSC).

It said every year the FPSC charges millions of rupees from candidates of CSS while this money is transferred to the government-proposed accounts. The report said when officials checked the record of these accounts, a sum of Rs 142 million was missing from bank accounts.

The report further said that the scam needed a high-level investigation.

The audit officials have recommended to the committee to investigate the matter of Rs 142 million irregularities and action must be taken against those corrupt officials who were involved in corruption.
