Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Babar Awan has described the Punjab’s Ashiana Housing Scheme as an attempt to favor property dealers.
Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, former Law Minister termed Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) as the biggest hurdle on the path of accountability.
He alleged that budget of Saraiki areas was being consumed on developmental projects in Lahore.
He ripped into the governance of Shahbaz Sharif, saying that there was no law and order in the province and criminals had no fear of being caught.
He said that the new WikiLeaks revelations had opened the secret of Sharif brothers’ courage and their stance on the judiciary.
However, he overlooked the WikiLeaks revelations about President Asif Ali Zardari.
He invited PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif to become part of the Parliament and appealed to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to end Punjab Assembly’s boycott.
He pledged that a commission would be set up on Abbottabad operation on return of Prime Minister Gilani from the visit to china.
