70th founding day of AJK govt observed

MIRPUR: The 70th Founding Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) state was observed on Tuesday with a renewed pledge to continue struggle until liberation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its accession to Pakistan.

In line with media reports, the day dawned with 21 guns salute in the state capital Muzaffarabad.

Special prayers were offered in mosques for integrity and prosperity of Pakistan and early liberation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In Muzaffarabad, the main function in this connection was held in the ground of AJK University.

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan and a large number of people attended the function.

Addressing the gathering, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan reiterated to continue diplomatic, political and moral support to the oppressed brethren of Occupied Kashmir for their right to self-determination.

Speakers highlighted the historic importance of the day, besides offering fateha for the martyrs of AJK.

The anniversary was observed with a holiday throughout AJK.
