An accused financier of the Pakistani Taliban was denied bond on Thursday at a Los Angeles court hearing, where a judge determined he was a flight risk. Irfan Khan, 37, was arrested in California on May 14, the same day authorities in Florida detained his brother Izhar Khan, and their father, Hafiz M Sher Ali Khan, who is the imam. The three men were indicted in Florida on charges they conspired to provide money and support for the Pakistani Taliban.
