ISLAMABAD: A committee constituted under the chairmanship of party leader Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq to identify the people responsible for changing the declaration related to Khatam-e-Nabuwwat (Finality of Prophethood) in the election nomination form has presented its final report to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz Sharif had ordered an inquiry to identify the people responsible for changing the declaration related to Khatam-e-Nabuwwat in the election nomination form.
According to media reports, Senator Haq has confirmed that all details regarding changing in declaration related to Khatam-e-Nabuwwat were presented to Nawaz Sharif.
Comprehensive details—including in which phase the deceleration was removed, where amendment occurred and who is the responsible for this whole negative episode—were forwarded to Nawaz Sharif in the final report, he added.
While giving further details, he said that committee has summoned ten people in this regard, and then pointed out the persons who were responsible.
The National Assembly had unanimously amended the act to restore clauses related to Khatam-e-Nabuwwat to their original form.
