ISLAMABAD: A new scam of corruption involving the vice chancellor (VC) of the Federal Medical and Dental College (FMDC) Islamabad has surfaced.

Per details, the VC during the last five years had given admission to 50 of his relatives in the MBBS programme against the quota of foreign students, which is now under high level probe.

Meanwhile, high officials, including principal, decline to share their stance regarding the matter.

A recent investigation report of the parliamentary committee revealed that large scale irregularities regarding admission were found in the college records.

Under the law, the head of the college had to allocate 10 per cent quota mandatory for foreign students, but the college prospectus had made no mention of foreign student quota. A parliamentary committee is commencing probe against the principal.
