Old animosity between two police officials claimed the life of Abdul Razzaq, 42, a constable at the Garhi Shahu police station, near the Deputy Superintendent’s Office in the Ghari Shahu police precincts on Thursday. Mahmood, a constable at the Shalimar police station, exchanged harsh words with Razzaq and fled after opening fire on him. Police said both nursed grudges against each other over an unknown issue. Police registered a case against Mahmood on the complaint of deceased’s wife Iqbal Bibi and started a search operation.
