RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle heroin abroad and arrested two drug peddlers here at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, while recovering over 2 kg of heroin from their possession on Friday.
According to ANF sources, the security personnel recovered over 1 kg heroin from the luggage of one Khalid Mehmood, a resident of Hangu.
The ANF personnel also arrested a drug dealer at the airport who was going to Jeddah. The personnel said that they found 786 grams of heroin from the luggage of the accused during routine checking. The suspects were later handed over to the airport police for investigation.
