Three years ago, Malala Yousafzai won a Nobel Peace Prize at age 17, two years after surviving an assassination attempt by Taliban militants in Pakistan. Since then, she has traveled the globe meeting with world leaders and rallying for girls’ right to an education.

Now, at age 20, she’s headed to Oxford University in England and sounding very much like a new college student. Over the weekend, she took to Twitter and, using the hashtag #HelpMalalaPack, asked for tips on what to take to college.

Some suggested that the youngest ever Nobel laureate bring healthy snacks, shower shoes and a sturdy backpack. Others told the best-selling author of “I am Malala” to bring all of her favourite books — and lots of chocolate.

Earlier this month, she met with world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly to push for greater educational opportunities for girls. Now, her attention is on attending Oxford, where she hopes to study philosophy, politics and economics.

“Don’t drink so much coffee,” a Twitter user advised her. Yousafzai responded, “I like English Breakfast tea.”

Many of her 925,000 Twitter followers declined to offer advice. Instead, they simply wished her well in school.
