Media’s prime role is to build general public’s opinion. But how can one define that this role while criticising government is negative or positive? Media is bringing politicians of different parties on one table. No doubt, it’s a good effort by our media. However, we are not getting answers; instead we have a political blame game. In any talk show the politicians, either from government or of opposition, just keep blaming each other and do not give any solution. Blaming each other won’t make any difference. What these talk shows are showing is that the anchor person normally tosses in a point to discuss and then keeps mum or egos on the participants to prove their fights or fight with each other because it makes the show spicy and sensational to increase their ratings and getting more commercials without caring for what negative impacts such shows are creating on the viewers. They are not painting a rosy picture of Pakistani politics in the eyes of foreigners.
