LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has ruled out the rumours that Nawaz Sharif fled to London to escape accountability and said that he (Nawaz) will return within few days and lead the party in 2018 general election.

Talking to media persons here on Friday, Rana Sanaullah said that Nawaz Sharif was in London to take care of his ailing wife, Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.

He said that Nawaz will return soon after an improvement in the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and will lead the party in the general election to be held next year.

Commenting over the reference against Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the provincial minister said that it has no link with Nawaz, Dar will himself decide about his future.

Sanaullah said that inquiry of NAB Punjab will be of no use as it wouldn’t find any slackness or corruption against leaders of PML-N.

He said that his party will appeal to the High Court regarding Model Town tragedy on Saturday.

Sana lauded party leader Maryam Nawaz for her campaign in NA-120 by-election.
