ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman, while commenting over the speech of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the UN General Assembly, said it was traditional; other than a few points, had nothing new in it.

The PPP leader said that, in the prevailing circumstances, the country needs a leader like Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to take it out of the confronting challenges.

“PM Abbasi’s speech at the UN [touched] core points with competence. Sadly, to make the world listen we need a ZAB now,” she said in a tweet.

Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Friday, she said that a leader like Bhutto was born once in centuries, and his farsightedness was admired across the globe.

She was of the view that reports of all the commissions constituted to probe in various cases should be made public.

The PPP senator said that murder of 14 people in Model Town tragedy was worst example of brutality, and the responsible should be brought to court of justice.

Commenting on the death of Sharoon Masih, she tweeted: “Shocking that #Sharoonmasih was beaten to death while the teacher was reading a newspaper in the same class room.”
