KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies’ (LEAs) personnel arrested 52 suspected criminals, including five women, during search operations in different parts of the metropolis in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Rangers and police conducted a search operation in Nazimabad and Razia Society and arrested eight alleged criminals. The LEAs also recovered four hand grenades, four TT pistols and bullets from their possession and shifted them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Garden police’s team arrested six criminals and recovered weapons, stolen motorbikes, mobile phones and drugs from them. Separately, a police party conducted a search operation in Ittehad Town’s Muhammad Khan Colony and detained 28 suspects, including two street criminals.
On a tip-off, Soldier Bazaar police carried out a targeted raid in Aziz Bahtti area and arrested 10 accused, including five women. Drugs and wine were also recovered from them. The police have registered cases against the detainees and started further investigation.
