- Senator Dhamrah says Imran Khan will also be disqualified soon
DADU: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday said that Pakistan belongs neither to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan nor to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif but to the people.
While addressing a public rally in Dadu, Bilawal said that the nascent lawmakers who know nothing about democracy are talking about it. They have not rendered any sacrifice for democracy and to strengthen the democratic state, he added.
“These new politicians do not know what happened in the September of 1983.” He was referring to the movement which started in Sindh against the dictatorial regime of Ziaul Haq.
While criticising the government of PML-N, he said that Nawaz Sharif got himself disqualified and left behind an ‘army’ of inefficient people.
He further claimed that the government of PML-N borrowed the most money in its current tenure in the history of Pakistan. Industries are suffering loses and the leaders claim that Pakistan is progressing, he said.
The PPP leader said that a foreign minister was appointed after a delay of four years and the PPP had been demanding the action all along ever since the government came to power.
Bilawal said that banned outfits cannot be allowed to float political fronts and added that “we cannot have the state do nothing in this regard.”
He said that he has been urging the federal government for the past two and half years to act on the National Action Plan but they paid heed to the need of time only after the United States demanded of it.
Applauding the crowd, he said that the people of the town have played a role in strengthening democracy, even a dictator like Ziaul Haq feared their vigour.
The party chief was accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Leader of the Opposition Khursheed Shah among others at the rally.
He also criticised the court’s verdict in Benazir Bhutto murder case.
Senator Aajiz Dhamrah also addressed the gathering and said that Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified and Imran Khan is soon going to be disqualified as both have a similar political track record.
He added that both of them were supported by General Zia and both were staunch supporters of militants, adding that majority of their supporters were religious bigots.
Aajiz Dhamrah said that both Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan were afraid to face the parliamentarians as both have failed to attend the National Assembly sessions.
He maintained that they were treading the same path as one has been disqualified from holding public office and the other will soon be disqualified.
Bilawal – what is your source of income, where and how did you get your wealth, did you or your papa pay taxes and how much on how much income?
