A leading tribal elder from Mohmand Agency and the chief of a Peace Lashkar was shot dead along with his son and host by unknown militants at Kota Village of Swabi district on Sunday morning. The police officials informed that Haji Ietebar Khan of Tehsil Adezai of Mohmand Agency was standing on the road in Kota Village when some bike riders fired at him, killing him and his son Irfan Ullah and host Mirza Mohammad.
They also escaped from the scene. Soon afterwards, the police forces initiated efforts to net out the culprits. Taliban militants have claimed responsibility.
