ISLAMABAD: Top twelve bureaucrats of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, Islamabad Police, and Capital Development Authority (CDA) are on leave on the occasion of Eidul Azha which has left the city affairs at the mercy of junior officers.

It may be mentioned here that due to a severe lack of senior officers it would be tough to deal with any untoward incident.

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director Mazharul Haq Kakakhel; Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operations Sajid Kiyani; DIG Security Waqar Chohan; and DIG Headquarter Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui had left the city to perform Hajj, a week before the Eid.

Labour Director and ICT Administration Circle Registrar Muhammad Ali; Saddar Superintendent Police Hassan Iqbal; Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Abdul Sattar Isani; and MCI’s Director Emergency and Disaster Management (E&DM) Capt (retd) Shahbaz Tahir Nadeem are on three-month long Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) in Islamabad.

Moreover, Special Branch Additional Inspector General (AIG) Muhammad Ilyas is also in London along with his family.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Mir Vias and Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Mushtaq Ahmed are also on a three-day training course in London; however, they had gotten seven days leave approval beforehand.

Islamabad Inspector General (IG) Khalid Khattak is also on two days leave.

Subsequently, the charge of Islamabad DC was handed over to ICT Admin Director Farasat Khan and the charge of the SSP Operations and IG Islamabad was given to SSP Traffic Malik Matloob.

It is noted that the mayor of Islamabad, along with his family, had left for London days before Eid to visit Ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s wife Kulsoom Nawaz, who had undergone a surgery in London.
