After Pakistan Tehreek -e-Insaf’s elected MPA Ziaullah Afridi defected to Pakistan Peoples Party yesterday and Jamaat-e-Islami’s threat of leaving the coalition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provinical Assembly, PTI’s grasp over the government seems to be crumbling as they might loose their majority in the house.

The number of members supporting the current government fell from 61 to 60 after one of the MPA’s defected to PPP.

It is pertinent to mention here that Tehreek-e-Insaf has a total of 45 members elected member in a house of 119 members. PTI is making its majority with the help of independently won candidates who later joined PTI and the coalition partners.

However, with the worsening condition within the party and with the coalition partners PTI could loose its simple majority in the house.
