ABBOTTABAD: Beaconhouse Abbottabad (BA) held its Model United Nations (MUN) 2017 on the main campus. Commencing from a well-organised committee session to a colourful ‘Global Village’ extravaganza, the first day set the standard for the rest of the event. The stall of Turkey was the winner at the end of the first day.
The second day started with another round of committee sessions, followed by the much-awaited concert featuring Abdullah Qureshi and DJ DPS. The entire evening was lit with music, glitz and glamour.
The final day’s themed dinner was attended by the Beaconhouse Northern Region Executive Director (ED) Nassir Kasuri. The evening started with an inspiring speech of Aisha Nasim, who stressed that the school promotes collaboration, critical thinking and global awareness and has pursued this agenda through a series of MUNs.
The ED distributed certificates and shields among the deserving students. He congratulated the team for organising the fourth successful BAMUN in a consecutive series. More than 400 students participated and the programme ended with a lavish dinner.
