Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Javed Iqbal has said that Punjab has no threat of terrorism.
Addressing the passing out parade ceremony in the Elite Police Training Centre in Lahore, the IG said that the province was under no threat of terrorism in retaliation to Abbottabad operation.
He said that the Elite Force was established to quell lawlessness, incidents of abduction for ransom and terrorism. The IG said that the force was working in accordance with the expectations of the Punjab government.
He said that the passing out candidates would contiribute to enhance the performance of the Punjab Police.
Before the passing parade, the recruits exhibited their skills in martial arts, firing and high jumping.
