CDA chairman reviews performance of authority’s hospital

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Hospital has treated 68,161 patients during the month of July 2017. Medical facilities at the hospital would be further improved and up-gradation of the hospital would be carried out in line with modern standards.

These views were expressed by Islamabad Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz while chairing a meeting at the CDA headquarters on Thursday. The meeting was called to review the performance of the hospital during the month of July. The executive director of the hospital and other senior officers of CDA were also present during the meeting.

The chairman was apprised that the hospital had treated 68,161 patients in July. This number included both the CDA employees and the outdoor patients. He was informed that 36,697 outdoor patients were provided treatment at the facility in addition to 981 indoor ward admissions.

Furthermore, 26,296 pathology laboratory examinations, 264 operation theatre procedures, 1,920 general radiology and 282 imaging radiology, 282 physiotherapies, 898 ECGs / ECHO / ETT and 216 dialysis procedures were also conducted during the month.

Moreover, 31 babies were born at the hospital and 15 patients had expired during this duration.
