–MQM-P denies allegations
In a startling wave of new allegations, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Chairperson Mustafa Kamal, on Thursday, claimed that Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) chief Altaf Hussain had asked his supporters to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day as a black day.
He made these claims while addressing a press conference in Karachi. Kamal blamed the MQM-London chief of torching the national flag and sending the videos to Indian TV channels.
The PSP leader claimed that this act was committed in the name of Muhajirs; however, they [Muhajirs] have now finally parted ways with the MQM-London chief after 30 years.
Farooq Sattar denies PSP allegations: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar denied the allegation hurled by Mustafa Kamal, the PSP chief, saying that the people seen burning national flags in the videos do not belong to the Muhajjir community. He said, “A few Pakistanis were incited to commit this deed”, but MQM-P’s patriotism has not been affected by anyone else.”
He added that the MQM-P stands with all ethnicities of Pakistan and it expects the same from others. He said that the party not only celebrated the Independence Day by hoisting flags in its Karachi offices but it was seen throughout the country.
