Despite getting a summon from ECP for the scrutiny of her nomination papers, Ousted PM Nawaz Sharif’s wife and candidate for NA-120 Kulsoom Nawaz has reportedly departed for London for what the PML-N claim to be a medical checkup. She had been told to appear before the ECP at 3 pm today.
However, PTI’s Dr Yasmin Rashid got her nomination papers approved as the ECP dismissed all reservations against her and now PPP’s Faisal Mir is to attend the ECP’s proceedings at 2 pm today.
The seat fell vacant after Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif under Artilce 62 (f) of the Constitution on July 28 in Panama Leaks case and the ECP has ordered to hold re-elections on September 17th.
