Presiding over a meeting of the senate of the university at the Governor House on Wednesday, he asked the management of the varsity to observe the financial rules and regulations strictly.

The meeting was attended by GU vice chancellor, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Ehtisham Javed Akbar Khan, Justice Abdul Aziz Kundi and provincial secretaries of Higher Education, Finance and Establishment departments.

The governor was briefed about the salient features of the budget, and statutes of the university. The senate approved the annual budget of GU. However, the proposed statutes of the university were approved conditionally.

A committee was constituted to finalise the matter, after due consideration, on the proposed drafts.

The governor, in his concluding remarks, appreciated the administration and urged them to ensure the utilisation of funds with care, and in accordance with the prescribed financial action plan.

  1. I thought he is governor, however, his statement reflects as if he is a biased political worker of PML N. Being in the position of the governor of a province, does he know the standard of transparency in universities of the provinces ruled by his party? Does he still hold the statement that he made?
