A student studying at a private cadet college in Larkana was tortured last August by his teacher due to unknown reasons making him lose conscience and suffer a paralysis attack.

The boy, Ahmed Hussain, suffered broken bones and deterioration of mental health.

Sindh Chief Minister after taking sue motto action had directed the health ministry to bear all expenses of the boy and send him abroad if appropriate medical facilities were not available in Pakistan.

Ahmed was later sent to the US as his treatment in a private hospital of Karachi turned futile. He has been at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio, US since February 14.

After the medical board examined Ahmed and permitted him to return to his homeland, he arrived in the country on Independence Day with his father and was received warmly by the Sindh Chief Minister.
