MULTAN: The disqualification of Nawaz Sharif will turn him into a victim of Judiciary in front of the nation and will eventually increase his popularity, said senior politician Javed Hashmi.
He was speaking to journalists on Independence Day. “I predicted this a long time ago,” he said, adding that because Nawaz Sharif was an elected representative of the people, his ouster hurt the voters.
On this occasion, he also added that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is hatching conspiracies and is a party of conspirators; and that he did warn the PML-N about it but nobody listened to him at that time.
He further said that if the dignity of a vote keeps getting ignored, 1970’s history might repeat itself again and the country might end up getting disintegrated.
Hashmi said that revenge instead of accountability will only entrap the already troubled country in chaos.
