LGH plans Independence Day celebrations

LAHORE: Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Principal Prof Ghias Nabi Tayyab said, “Best celebrations will be held at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) and flag hoisting ceremony will take place at the Administration Block, while hospital wards would be decorated.”

The principal said that Pakistan was created after great sacrifices and it was very important to inform the coming generations about the real theory of independence.

While presiding over a special meeting, principal PGMI said that all the departments of LGH would fully participate in Independence Day celebrations. LGH Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Ghulam Sabir said that a special committee has been constituted to decide the first three positions, for prizes, of different wards of the hospital. Nursing School Principal said that students would wear green shawls on August 14, while sweets and gifts would be distributed among the patients of LGH.

The principal ordered implementation of a comprehensive plan of celebrations for Independence Day, to make it memorable.
