Tehmina Durrani—the wife of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif—once again hit at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s decision to stage GT Road ‘homecoming rally’, suggesting former prime minister Nawaz Sharif fire his ‘failed’ media team.
In a tweet, directed at the media team, she said, “[Mian Nawaz Sharif] sb [please] fire [your] failed media team. Banish all [sycophants] from sight! They [are responsible for your] statesmanship becoming an under 19 game.”

She also slammed his ‘mediocre’ advisors for recommending such a strategy, pointing out that he neglected his senior and sincere colleagues. “MNS sb [you] heard the most mediocre advisors a leader [could have] chosen, while rejecting your most sincere, [politically experienced] & astute colleagues,” she tweeted.

Moreover, she expressed sorrow for the people who would witness loss due to this rally, recommending the authorities to provide for their loss instead of counting heads. “Govt [does not have] authority [to] block a main [road] that belongs [to] the state & people, for its own use! Who [gave] this illegal order?” she asked.
Repeat:Govt dz NOT hv authority 2 block a main rd tht belongs 2 the State & people, for its own use! Who gv this illegal order?

Similar statements were made by her a day before when she argued that Nawaz Sharif had put his brother and administrative head of Punjab in a bad position. Talking about her husband, she claimed, “He’s no longer a dynastic politician.”
