ISLAMABAD: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah during his visit to Germany visited a naval academy and naval submarine base, informed a statement issued by Pakistan Navy.
The admiral visited German Naval Academy at Flensburg and German Submarine Naval Base at Eckernforde, Germany.
The naval chief also had a meeting with the commandant of the German Naval Academy, in which matters of mutual interests were discussed.
Admiral Zakaullah also visited the submarine training centre at Keroman Submarine Base.
Later, Admiral Zakaullah visited German Submarine Training Centre at German Submarine Naval Base Eckernforde. Upon his arrival, the admiral was warmly welcomed by Frigatten Kapitan Lars Gosing, Head of Submarine Training Centre. He was given detailed briefings regarding the training centre. Subsequently, Zakaullah also visited German submarine. During his visit on board, the Naval Chief interacted with German navy submarine’s officers and men and lauded their operational competence.
The recent visit of the naval chief will further enhance and expand defence ties between the two countries in general and navies in particular.
