Democracy is actually another name of cooperating for public interest. It is true that the government completing its tenure is in the interest of democracy. Unfortunately in our country, some pressure groups are claiming for mid-term election but we have to understand the ground realities as well. Actually every one is trying to pull the legs of groups in power by different means and the reasons for doing this is thirst for power. Its really the rejection of electorate’s feelings.
Nowadays, the PPP is shaking hands with PML(Q) only to maintain its agenda of reconciliation and anti-personalised politics. The constant questions being raised about the legitimacy of the coalition belie logic. In a democratic polity, this is totally allowed and the people who call it against the “spirit of democracy” should have along hard look in the mirror.
